POKEMON RULES
❖ First of all, pokemon are illegal to use in battles or fights of any kind. Most people in Unova keep pokemon as pets, anyone caught in a battle with their pokemon will be arrested by police. However, underground teenagers still fight with their pokemon, so, of course, we have some rules.
❖ Legendary pokemon are off limits to everyone. No questions asked.
❖ Generation V pokemon are open to everyone. Pokemon from generations I through IV are rare in Unova. Trainers can get their hands on older species of pokemon from wining events and awards around the site.
❖ There are no levels. Battles work somewhat like they do in the anime: strengths and weaknesses are important, but so are weather conditions, battle climate and even the size of the pokemon. Face it, a little Lillipup won't beat a huge-ass pokemon like an Enboar.
❖ Don't give trainers pokemon they can't deal with or pokemon they don't have access to. It's not realistic, and that's the key.
❖ Shinies and rare pokemon are limited. One shiny per member, no exceptions. Staff are allowed to turn rare pokemon down if we have to. If a pokemon is rare in the game, a pokemon is rare here. Just saying.
❖ Each pokemon can have up to six moves. They can be any move, regardless of when or how the pokemon learns the move. However, all of the six moves your pokemon learns have to be legitimately moves that particular pokemon will learn.
❖ You don't need a staff member to get pokemon to show up in role play, however, in order for your pokemon to evolve or learn new moves, you have to apply for it. The pokemon in question must also have been in at least one battle before we allow the evolution or move to be learned.
❖ No one trainer can win every battle. There is no such thing as invincibility. Get over yourself and get into the game. Everybody has their ups and downs, deal with it.
❖ Pokemon can die. But you cannot kill any other trainer's pokemon, nor can they kill yours. It is your decision, and yours alone, to kill your pokemon - however, you must alert a staff member first, just to be safe.
