Lyle Decker... his name says it all. The boy is a big fat liar and master of sarcasm. He's quite the mysterious young fellow, always hiding out in the dark, ready to pounce on his prey like some kind of animal. If there's one thing a person would ever need to know about Lyle to sum him up, it's that he never gives a straight answer to the questions he is asked. Typically because Lyle hates being asked questions, and usually finds it quite fun to mess with whoever asked the questions. Lyle can often be seen as a bit of a devious prankster. He's a tricky little bastard, that's for sure, and always seems to get away with his deeds by slipping into the shadows and out of reach.

Despite being closed off to the majority of people who don't know him, Lyle is pretty damn open with those he considers his friends. He's a champion at the "rate that chick" game - if that's even possible, and can go from a closed off jerk to a rowdy teenager if he should ever spend too much time with the right people. Though he hates loud noises - especially those that involve voices - he turns into quite the party animal when he's piss drunk and hanging with his bros. Not to mention, intoxicated Lyle can turn into quite the pervert. ~~He's also slightly more gay when he's drunk, but that's a story for another day~~.

Generally, Lyle is what you would call a misanthrope - he generally hates most people, and enjoys spending most of his time alone doing his own thing, such as grooming his pokemon or readying them for battle, but it's been proven that he's not just some strange anti-social being; at least, not all of the time. Lyle is most comfortable in settings with low lighting, and spends a large portion of his time inside or enjoying the thrill of a rainy day, though that is mostly due to the fact that his skin is rather pale, and he would prefer not to wrinkle before he turns thirty.

Appearances, to Lyle, mean everything. If you look strong, and have a confidant expression, you'll unnerve your opponent and there's no way you can lose. He's also very invested in his looks and the looks of his pokemon. When Lyle says "appearance is everything" he really means appearance is everything. They don't call him a cocky asshole for nothing, you know. Lyle is as arrogant and self-absorbed as they come - if he could find a way to marry himself, you can bet he would do it twice. Along with his pompous attitude, Lyle is also rather confident, and gets up to about twice as confident as the day - or battle - progresses. He rarely shows emotion other than his assertiveness, especially during battle, and finds it quite fun to mess with his opponents - and just about everyone else around him, as well, by refusing to show his feelings no matter what the situation may be. Unfortunately, as lovely as it sounds to have a constant poker-face, his constant suppression of his emotions occasionally makes him quite sexually frustrated.

While, sure, Lyle may sound like the epitome of perfection, there he has one major flaw that keeps him from being the cool genius he strives to be: his lack of patience. Lyle is, quite possibly, one of the most impatient people you will find. It is completely impossible for Lyle to sit down and do nothing. If he's not engaged in some kind of activity, he automatically becomes bored and extremely restless. It's damn near impossible for him to wait silently or patiently for anything. Perhaps it's just the child in him that makes him so easily bored, or the fact that he's just another ADHD kid with the inability to sit down, shut up, and do absolutely nothing for more than ten seconds.

Lastly, Lyle is a bit of a mean kid. Ever since he was a child, Lyle was known as somewhat of a bully, always picking on those smaller and weaker than him. Of course, being a rather weedy kid himself, Lyle never physically bullied anyone; he did all of his dirty work through verbal communication, specifically when his words tinkered with the emotions of his prey. Lyle's favorite hobby as a child, and even now on the brink of adulthood, is getting under other people's skin, getting into their business, and finding something to make them go absolutely crazy over. Some would call it torture, Lyle calls it an art.

LIKES: lying (he's a master), peace and quiet, sweet things, chocolate, coffee, soda, good source of caffeine, darkness, thunderstorms, the color blue, his looks, acting conceited, pushing weaker people around.

DISLIKES: most people, loud noises, constant conversation, answering tedious questions, filling out long forms, writing for long periods of time, losing pokemon battles, running into cops from time to time, bugs.

HOBBIES: cooking, lecturing his brother, going on "candy-hunts", training his pokemon, battling, picking on the weak.

AMBITIONS: to defeat the champion and take his place, to find someone who actually has the same values and opinions as he does - and then marry them.

FEARS: large insects, getting sunburned.
